Tri Trang Beach

 

Tri Trang Beach is a secluded beach from Patong Beach. It is more peaceful and quieter beach than the most famous and popular Patong Beach. Her beach is still remaining plentiful natures. Travelers are possibly some questions in their minds, why that beach is uncrowded and unknown beach, which is not far from Patong Beach. The very easiest and simplest answer from webmaster is visitors should explore or experience it by oneselves. Her sand is very white and tender as if baby powder. Unless travelers visit here to get breathe fresh pure air and praise the beautiful sea, can have a swim in the deep blue sea. Importantly, visitors come the beach will praise the beautiful panoramic scene of Patong Bay perfectly as same as Phra Tam Nak Hill in Pattaya City to see Pattaya City Bay. Tri Trang Beach is not away from Patong Beach that spending a driving time or riding motorbike approximately 15 minutes. Go ahead to the end of Thaweewongse Road and then cross the Thaweewongse Bridge. After that try to turn left and go along with Muen-Ngoen Road just 3 kilometers (the route going to Merlin Beach Resort). Paradise Beach

 

Paradise Beach is distant away from Tri Trang Beach about 5 minutes. Her atmosphere is more peaceful and serene than Tri Trang Beach. It is still remaining abundantly tropical rain forest. Her sand is so soft and powdery white, sea color is so blue and very glassy. There is the rounded-rocks are lining beside the beach end. Travelers on this beach are almost foreigners, especially family. Traveling to Paradise Beach is pretty troubled because the beach is located in the tropical rain forests and the cemented road quite narrow and crooked. Visitors should not do travel in nighttime. A 4-wheeled drive and motorcycle are suitable for travelling to Paradise Beach, spending driving-time to the beach around 3-4 minutes from Tri Trang Beach. Actually, hiring a long tailed-boat anchored in front of Patong Beach is the most comfortable for visitors.

Freedom Beach

 

Freedom Beach is located next to Paradise Beach. It is the most tranquil and noiseless in Patong area. No one knows that the beach is in Patong, though a little Phuketian is known. Her surrounding is plentiful of natures and her sea water is so beautiful no less than other beaches on Phuket. The sea is very glassy which visitors can see the bottom of it and also many colorful fish. Travelers can feed many fish with bread on hand as same as other famous Islands, some visitors who ever come the Freedom Beach last summer had said that its sea water was beautiful same as to Similan Island. Although, travelling to the beach is harder than Paradise Beach or Tri Trang Beach, renting a long tailed-boat is very easiest way to touch this beach. Importantly, visitors will help some local long tailed-boat drivers to live well. It is worth to pay the fare of services because visitors will touch the real meaning of FREEDOM.

Phuket's Beaches

 

 

Karon Beach

 

It is away from Phuket town just 20 kilometers along the Chaofa road till reaching Chalong Bay Intersection(Har Yaek Ao Chalong), turning the traffic light to right into Patak road. From Chalong Intersection approximately 6 kilometers, reaching the Kata section, turning left to Kata Beach since Karon Beach is next to northward. Karon Beach is a 3-kilometer long tender white sandy beach stretching till the last row to the long beach. One of the beaches that offers high class accommodation facilities, tour companies souvenir shops for serving tourists to visit.

Kata Beach

 

It is away from Phuket town about 17 kilometers along Chaofa road until reaching Chalong Bay Intersection(Har Yaek Ao Chalong), turning right traffic into Patak Beach (similar to Karon Beach). Kata Beach is divided into two beaches, i.e. Kata Yai(Big) Beach and Kata Noi(Small) Beach. The beach is ideal for water playing and used as practice scuba-diving due to continue coral reef ranges stretching onto Poo(Crab) Island, situated in front of the beach. Kata Beach is currently one of the full furnished facility accommodations such as shopping centers, tour agencies and various entertainment venues. It is await to serve for tourists as Karon beach alike.

Kata Noi (Small) Beach

 

It is located on southward of Kata Yai Beach. It is smaller beach than Kata beach. Rock and coral formations along the South beach dedicated to habitat for several color fish. Kata Beach offers resort, hotel and a few shops waiting to service tourists.

 

 

Kalim Beach

 

Kalim Beach is a small rocky beach and has rock and reef formations. Although the beach is adjacent to the famous Patong beach; beach area have not been developed much. Seaside restaurants and accommodations are available along the beach road. We are recommended you to SOMTUM YUM PAO CAFE & RESTAURANT, serving fresh seafood and all you can eat on the menu.

 

 

Rawai Beach

 

This Beach has a fishermen village to the left of the beach and fishermen boat, long tailed-boats and speed boats anchored the beach area for tourists to rent wandering nearby islands such as Koh He, Koh Bon, Koh Raya and Koh Kaew. Rawai Beach is ideal for water playing since the shallow coastal waves and winds are not strong. It is housing many seafood restaurants and seaside services. Rawai Beach is away from Phuket town about 17 kilometers along Chalong Bay Intersection (Har Yaek Ao Chalong),go straight on Vises road and then reaching Rawai Beach. See map

 

 

Kamala Beach

 

It is a 2-kilometer long sandy beach. It is one of calm and un-crowded beach resort. Accommodation is available both large and small bungalows, including tour companies, restaurants waiting to service tourist as well. Kamala Beach is away from Phuket town just 26 kilometres. Driving along highway #402 to Thalang district turning the traffic left on Thao Thep Kasattri Thao Sri Soonthon Monument, passing Surin Beach and Sing Cape (Laem Sing). Welcome you to Kamala Beach. Surin & Leam Sing beaches

 

This beach is a perfect quiet sandy beach in a foot of the hill which pine trees can be found near the sea beach, on the right side was used to the golf course built in the reign of the King Rama 7. Surin Beach is a very steep slope sandy beach during the monsoon season is not suitable for water playing. Surin beach is away from Phuket town about 24 kilometers. Driving along the Thep Kasattri road (#402) till reaching Thao Thep Kasattri Thao Sri Soon Thon monument turn the traffic left. And then driving just 12 kilometers, welcome you to Surin Beach. Naiharn Beach

 

The beach is not long but clean and white sandy beach and relatively calm also. During the monsoon season between May - October is quite strong waves and winds, not recommended for water playing. Naiharn Beach is far away from town about 18 kilometers starting from Chalong Bay Intersection, driving along the Vises road passing Rawai Beach. Go straight on the Rawai beach road, and then turn traffic to right driving about 3 kilometers (a small sign board shown to the beach). Otherwise, if driving from Phromthep Cape turning right along road around the island is the beach in search of.

 

 

Bangtao Bay

 

Bangtao Bay is one of the longest beaches in Phuket. Once upon a time the beach was used to mining manufacture; on the other hand, nowaday some areas have been developing a set of several luxury resorts. Additionally, other accommodations are located on southern Gulf of the beach. Visitors can play and swim in beach area outside the monsoon season. During monsoon season is rather strong storm waves. Not recommended for tourists to splash in the sea. For those who enjoy scuba diving watch coral, offshore northward of the Bay is plentiful of beautiful coral.

 

 

Maikhao Beach

 

Maikhao Beach was plentiful of a crab sea and sea turtle came up to spawn. Unfortunately, the current is significantly reduced number. Visitors prefer to play and swim in the sea. Maybe do during non-monsoon season and very careful due to relatively steep beach into the sea. Water activities in the monsoon season not recommend highly because steep beaches and strong surge. Driving along Thep Kasattri Road, passing Phuket International Airport and going ahead to the Sarasin Bridge. At junction turning on the left into the sign board "MAIKHAO BEACH", and then turn left about 3.5 kilometers again reaching to Mai Khao Beach.

 

 

Nai Thon Beach

 

Driving from Phuket town along the Thep Kasattri Road, and then turning the traffic to left at 21st-22nd k.m. pillar when reaching Sakoo Village junction turning the traffic to left again, driving about 3 km will reach to the beach. Naithon Beach is a fascinating open bay stretching bend onto the island. It is a shelter for waves and wind very well and the beach is pretty quiet which is very suitable for water playing. However, during the monsoon season, not recommended for visitors to swim due to strong waves, winds and tides in the sea is quite turbulent.

 

 

Naiyang Beach

 

The Beach is dedicated to National Park Office, is a cool and pleasant pine Park that is the most suitable for relaxation and water playing. Besides, there are also large reef formations which are homed of various marine lives, especially the sea turtle that will spawn on the beach between November to February. However, the current sea turtle has reduced significantly and hardly see a turtle spawn completely. The beach is away from Phuket town, driving along Thep Kasattri road until passed Thalang City, turning traffic to left at the sign board shown “NAIYANG BEACH”.

 

 

Saikaew Beach

 

Saikaew beach is a clean white sandy beach stretching even with the pine trees belt. The beach is next to the Maihao Beach covering till Sarasin Bridge. It is the northernmost island of Phuket island. Many shops, restaurants are located in the beachfront before reaching Sarasin Bridge. Water activities or swimming can be done outside the monsoon season.
